We have represented the United States of America by special appointment in Jones Act defense claims.
We are the only listed correspondents in North Carolina for 11 of the 12 P & I clubs in the International Group, and have represented domestic numerous domestic underwriters including ACE, State Farm, NC Insurance Mutual Association, CNA and Travelers / St. Paul.
Transactional
We advise clients involved in maritime and trucking transactions. Our transactional experience includes all manner of contracts, vessel sales, charters, rail and trucking contracts, and bills of lading. We are one of the only firms in the State with the capability to do its vessel documentation in-house. This saves you time.
Litigation
We have extensive trial experience in federal courts in both North Carolina and Virginia (pro hac vice), at the 4th Circuit in Virginia, as well as in North Carolina State courts.
